Dear reader, The main purpose of this website is to make you aware of what is your real IP address. Our goal, mission, and devotion are to help you find out your IP address really for free of charge, without any extra fees, or charges. We are like a nonprofit organization. Each day people asks google questions like what is my IP address. Primarily we help you because we reach out your IP address to you and we also help Google, because we take whole traffic to our servers.
Dear visitor, Since probably you are not computer nerd we feel obligated to familiarize you with some difficult concepts that are probably unknown for you. We hope our explanations are easy to understand, but if not so, please, fell free to ask me questions.
It is not possible to change your IP address that no one can track you at all. Usually, hiding or changing IP address is a very simple thing. When you are connected to the Internet regardless are you using your cellphone, personal computer, TV, etc. at least one IP address will be assigned to you. However, you can "change" your IP address using a proxy or VPN as listed below.
If you care and you are concerned about your privacy and you don't want to be tracked (no one wants to be tracked) by governments and big corporations you can should those options, which let you change your IP address.
If you care and you are concerned about your privacy and you don't want to be tracked (no one wants to be tracked) by governments and big corporations you can should those options, which let you change your IP address. VPN Virtual Private Network, mostly known as VPN makes your connection with the Internet encrypted and secure, so nobody can spy and track you anymore, because decryption of your connection is nearly impossible. I will skip technical explanation since it is difficult to efficiently explain how does VPN actually work for a person not associated with computer science or IT. Basically, when you use VPN you are connected to the other computer (server) that retrieve and sends data back to you. Please, be aware that a lot of "free" VPN services are not really free and they actually make money on you (ex. mining bitcoin on your device), so it would be good to always read policies and even consider paid VPN. Anyway, VPN is the best way to surf on the Internet more anonymously.
It works similar to the VPN, but it uses HTTP protocol to send back data to your computer. It is definitely the cheapest way to become anonymous because most of proxies servers are available for free. Proxy servers work much slower than VPN and they are usually used only by black hat hackers to bypass security, recaptcha, and limits. For personal use, I would recommend using a VPN (even free) than proxies, because they are more reliable and safety is usually higher.
I don't encourage anyone to use tools for anonymization to commit crimes, even if your VPN service provider claims that he/she will not store logs with your IP, because the ISPs (Internet Service Provider) of the VPNs that are connected to their networks likely will have sufficient data to help in investigations with the law enforcement agencies.
You may wonder how did they get my IP?, or how can I get someone's else IP. Whenever you send the HTTP request to whatever website some information about your browser and computer (device) are always visible to the website you are trying to connect including such data as IP address, browser name, operating system, and some other metadata.
